Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé Vintage Grand Eminent| Structure and balance

Perle d’Or Rose is an exceptional Crémant de Bourgogne, which is only made in the best years. With this rare wine, one discovers the dazzling metamorphosis of a fruity rosé into one that is crisp, meaning good ageing potential. This wine like no other is a rosé approaching its peak, vinous and silky, the blossoming of more than two years’ ageing, with a small proportion in old oak barrels.

The pinkish-gold of this Crémant de Bourgogne gives it a delicate nuance and the rounded velvetiness of a silhouette. Perle d'Or Rose opens with intense aromas of rose and jasmine. The broad, well-balanced mouth is underscored by a nice vivacity, promising excellent ageing potential. Rich and vinous in the mouth, it is topped off with some pleasant toasted notes. Its expressive character will make it at home with the finest of dishes.

Exultant pairings: An audacious match for dishes that reflect its color, such as crustaceans, shrimp, or fillet of salmon.

The 2013 vintage was notable for irregular weather, which meant harvesting was later than usual and vinification had to be adapted accordingly. A short period of maceration drew the perfect shade of pink from the grapes. The crisp character was preserved thanks to stopping fermentation. Partial ageing of the Chardonnay in oak barrels for six months consolidated the structure of this great wine, giving it some lightly toasted notes and good aromatic complexity. More than two years of bottle-ageing has made Perle d’Or Rose 2013 a great vintage sparkling, subtle yet moreish.
