Spring is settling into our vineyards

Back to news

At Molesme, in the north of the Côte d’Or, our most northerly plots are revealing their first inflorescences, marking the acceleration of the vegetative cycle that will lead us through to the 2026 harvest.

As our vineyards are spread from north to south across Burgundy, our teams observe, discuss and compare their development according to location, plot exposure and, of course, weather conditions. We are noting an early start, encouraged by the climatic conditions of recent weeks.

Mid-April has now passed and, with it, the strongest fears of late black frost. We must nonetheless still come through the Ice Saints period, until mid-May, before we can definitively leave behind the spectre of cold weather and then hope for a smooth growing season.

We are now busy in the vineyard, as the vines, in full growth, require constant attention in order to support their development as effectively as possible and to obtain ripe, rich and balanced berries, which we will then elevate in the making of our Crémants de Bourgogne.
