Perle Rare 2023: When generosity meets refinement

Vintage after vintage, Perle Rare embodies Louis Bouillot’s most exacting vision: selecting the finest wines from a harvest, blending them with precision, and allowing them the time needed to reveal their full complexity. This iconic cuvée, recognised by the Crémant de Bourgogne Eminent label, reflects our ongoing pursuit of elegance, balance and finesse.

Its distinctive character is built upon four key pillars: the harmonious combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté; the selection of the finest wines from the vintage; the richness of six complementary Burgundy terroirs; and an extended lees ageing of more than 24 months. This approach gives rise to a sophisticated sparkling wine, where fruit and mineral notes gradually evolve into delicate brioche and toasted nuances.

We are delighted to unveil the 2023 vintage, a new expression of Perle Rare that continues this legacy while revealing the unique character of an exceptional year.

A HISTORIC HARVEST, A BOUNDIFUL VINTAGE

The 2023 growing season will remain a landmark in the history of the House, with the most abundant harvest ever recorded. The vineyards produced grapes of outstanding quality, harvested at optimal ripeness between 29 August and 26 September. This remarkable vintage has resulted in a wine that is rich, balanced and particularly expressive.

In the glass, Perle Rare 2023 charms with its brilliant golden-yellow colour and lively effervescence. The bouquet is vibrant and fruit-driven, revealing notes of vineyard peach, apple and nectarine, subtly enhanced by delicate toasted hints. On the palate, richness and indulgence unfold through flavours of ripe fruit, hazelnut and sourdough bread. The long, fruit-filled finish elegantly reflects all the generosity of this outstanding vintage.

Each vintage expresses its own personality while remaining faithful to the exacting standards that guide its creation.
