The vineyards

Glorious terroirs!

Of land, of soil, and of vines

From the North to the South of Burgundy, our vineyard is made up of plots with relatively cool soil: a palpable characteristic that is essential for an elegant, airy style.

The freshness of the fruit and the spontaneity of the aromas of our crémants come from our northern vineyards. In Burgundy. From selected terroirs, with vines planted on limestone or in deep soil. The diversity of these plots produces the rich variety of grapes that in turn enables an infinite number of blends for our Crémants de Bourgogne.

Nature preserved

An evolving vineyard

The northernmost vineyard is Les Nantelles. Organic by nature, its character is well preserved! A windswept plateau with cherry trees, a land of whites, of all kinds of white!

Our vines, benefiting from truly exceptional plots, are scattered from the Auxerre district in the north of Burgundy, to the Couchois in the south.

Today we manage nearly 170 hectares with High Environmental Value certification, and nearly a quarter is already organic. Every year we replant about 15 hectares.

Our Chardonnay vines (white grapes) are more to the north.

The red grapes, with Pinot Noir as king, flourish in the Côte de Nuits, opposite the Grands Crus, and in the Couchois with its beautiful hilly landscapes with fossil outcrops.

King Pinot Noir

And the other noble grape varieties

Our main grape variety, and the one dearest to our hearts, is Pinot Noir. Finesse, intensity, character, structure. The Burgundy stone gives it these unique qualities.

We also grow white grapes, enabling us to produce a very diverse range of wines, with Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Pinot Blanc in lesser quantities.

And between the two: a very small amount of Gamay, the fragrant grape variety of Beaujolais, Melon de Bourgogne and Pinot Gris.

On the path to organic

Moving towards organic winegrowing

Today our growing methods are more environmentally friendly.

Tomorrow all our vines will be organic. Organic farming is synonymous with life. We are working towards this, even though it is a serious challenge in the more humid climate of northern Burgundy.
