Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Millésimé | Elegant, well-balanced and subtle


A blended wine (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay) crafted in the finest traditions of the greatest Crémants de Bourgogne. This wine is unusual in that it is partially (10%) aged in oak barrels for six months, giving it a certain je ne sais quoi, after which it is stored on laths for a full three years with a view to producing more delicate bubbles and really bringing out the flavours. An excellent Crémant - clean, powerful, boasting a long finish and bursting with life.

Clear yellow with long-lasting bubbles and a generous collar of foam around the glass. A highly expressive nose featuring aromas of honey and blood peach. Vanilla notes blend together with toast to contribute to a highly complex bouquet. A bold, powerful attack with largely mineral-driven notes marrying nicely with woody flavours. A particularly rich finish underlines just how beautifully-balanced this wine is.

Premium pairings
: this wine will really light up and add a new twist to pre-dinner drinks and nibbles. It also goes extremely well with haute-cuisine style dishes such as poularde (fattened hen), Bresse capon, quail with grapes and more.

2017: an early harvest. We really had to battle with the elements – frost in the spring, hail in the summer and a lack of rain towards the end of the season were some of the weather events with which we had to grapple. Slow, delicate pressing cycles were of critical importance in the making of this wine, being needed to get the very best out of these grape varieties. The grapes were high in sugar which struck just the right balance in terms of freshness. This wine bears the ‘Grand Eminent’ quality label, which pays tribute both to how long it has been aged and the way in which it was made, exclusively using the first press run Pinot noir and Chardonnay juice. A very small amount of dosage helps conserve the delightfully expressive aromas and the mouthfeel of this incredible wine.
