Crémant de Bourgogne | Complexity and elegance

The Cuvée Edition Limitée Extra-Brut is a tribute to the groundbreaking work of Louis Bouillot who, from 1877, contributed to the development of sparkling wines using the so-called champenoise method in Burgundy, a region known for its still wines. The painstaking approach to making this great Crémant de Bourgogne gives it a complex, powerful character, and a harmonious blend of indulgence and subtlety.

The breadth of the Chardonnay, the structure of the Pinot Noir, the fruit from the Gamay, and the crispness of Aligoté all combine harmoniously in this indulgent, elegant wine. Its yellow-amber color promises a powerful wine with an expressive nose, which reveals toasted aromas with notes of acacia and orchard fruits. Crisp and lively, then vinous, this is the result of a subtle dosage that brings out a perfect balance of flavors.

Gourmet combinations: A convivial aperitif or a traditional dish, such as pork fillet or poultry with seasonal vegetables.

The grapes hail from some of the best plots on the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, the Mâconnais, southern Burgundy, and the Chablis region. The four major varietals that make up this wine – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Aligoté – blend harmoniously into an elegant, structured cuvée, which is carefully crafted using an “extra-brut” dosage before being aged for nearly three years, resulting in a Crémant de Bourgogne of great complexity.

This is a rare, limited edition Crémant de Bourgogne which pays tribute to the savoir-faire of the Louis Bouillot wine house.
