Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Millésimé Eminent | Power & elegance

Perle Rare 2014 is an elegant, powerful, and harmonious Crémant de Bourgogne. It is an alliance of four varietals; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté. This vintage cuvée takes the very best of each terroir in Burgundy. Full of charm and extremely delicate, this wine is perfectly suited to festive meals. Made exclusively in years that promise an exceptional cuvée, the 2014 vintage was highly anticipated, after the elegant and rich 2012 vintage.

A wonderfully sophisticated wine with a golden color and intense highlights. On the nose, it is complex, carried by fresh notes of lime blossom and honeysuckle, then bread and honey, enhancing the olfactory voyage offered by this vintage. On tasting, Perle Rare 2014 is a powerful wine. Indulgent aromas of citrus and then orchard fruits make this cuvée a Crémant de Bourgogne that is all about pleasure, the perfect balance between an acidulated finish, and sweetness, finesse, and personality.

Festive pairings: Aperitifs, fresh asparagus, seafood terrine, grilled bass, Bresse capon, along with desserts like an almond financier.

2014
was a very fine vintage in Burgundy, marked by the abundance and quality of the grapes. It was a year of contrasts, after several months of unseasonal weather, a dry and sunny September did its job, and provided wonderfully mature grapes with delicate flavors and vigor, giving rise to some balanced wines. Ageing for more than two years perfected the bubbles and enhanced the aromas of this great wine. Perle Rare 2014 is an “Eminent” Crémant de Bourgogne that is still in its youth, but is demonstrating fine keeping potential, much finesse and vigor.
